The Mountain Heritage Center invites you to an upcoming event at Innovation Station at 40 Depot St. in Dillsboro. The event will take place on Thursday, August 6, from 5:00 鈥� 7:00 pm and is free and open to the public.

Just a few years ago, Rustin Muse was working the Mountain Heritage Day 5K race. Alongside his classmates in his sport management class, Muse helped develop the track, get people interested and schedule police officers for the event.

This August, Brandi Hinnant-Crawford will join the College of Education and Allied Professions faculty as the John and Deborah Bardo Distinguished Professor of Educational Leadership. Her return is a homecoming that continues a nearly decade-long tenure as a Catamount and more than 12-year career as a researcher and professor.

蘑菇短视频 alumni and friends from across North Carolina and the Atlanta area gave a warm Catamount welcome to approximately 100 incoming first-year students during several receptions in July.

Following a banner year for revenue generation and fundraising for the athletics program at 蘑菇短视频 in 2025-2026 with all-time highs in ticket sales, donations and booster organization membership, the Catamount Club is announcing benefits package updates, including a new top tier called 鈥淭he Royal Banner鈥� level.

Leaders at 蘑菇短视频 certainly knew that interest from prospective students was on the rise, but this fall鈥檚 enrollment is shaping up to be historic.

蘑菇短视频 has been awarded a $1.2 million grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce's Economic Development Administration to support infrastructure improvements at the 蘑菇短视频-Cullowhee Dam, a project aimed at providing resiliency for critical public water systems and strengthening the region's outdoor recreational economy.

The third annual CATALYST: Summer Research and Leadership Program welcomed 18 incoming 蘑菇短视频 students representing a variety of academic majors and interests.

蘑菇短视频's Board of Trustees elected Becky Brown as chair during a special called meeting on Thursday, July 9. Brown succeeds Casey Cooper, who completed his term as chair and will continue serving on the board through June 30, 2029.

Several members of the 蘑菇短视频 community recently accepted appointments on three of the institution鈥檚 top volunteer boards that provide oversight and advice in support of university philanthropic, athletics and engagement activities.
